Did anything unusual happen the day that you hit the jackpot? "No, it was a normal day for me." What was your initial reaction when you won? "I stared at the screen for about two minutes. I ran and got my camera so I could take a picture. My husband had just gone to bed so I woke him up and asked him to tell me what he saw and then I called
Belle Rock to make sure it was true!" How will you spend your winnings? "My husband and I are building our dream home. We are so close to finishing, but we were out of money. We now can finish our house and we plan on setting up trust funds for all of our nieces and nephews as well as help our parents out with some of the winnings." How long were you playing before you hit the jackpot? "That's the funny part. I had only been playing for about ten minutes when I won." What do you do for good luck? "Pay attention to my intuition. I have good feelings and my right palm itched a lot lately." What piece of advice has most helped you through life? "Life is what you make it. You are the only person that is going to be there for you for the rest of your life, take care of yourself." What is your dream holiday destination? "I would love to spend time in the Bahamas at the Atlantis Hotel." Tell us something you have always wanted to do and regret not doing. Will this win help you accomplish this? "I have always wanted to be able to help my family and friends with their financial problems, now I will be able to help them." What do you do in your spare time? "In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family doing several things, like camping, bowling, gambling, singing in a theater group and a church choir. I also love to read when I have alone time." If you were told you had to donate all of your winnings to a good cause, where would you donate it? "I would donate to an Alzheimer's Foundation or an animal shelter." If you were stranded on a deserted island what 3 things would you take with you and why? "My husband, my son and my yacht so I can come and go as I please." What is your ultimate goal in life? "Live a safe, happy and comfortable life with my family and friends. I do not want to have to worry about paying my bills and living paycheck to paycheck. I also want to be able to be a pillar of strength for my family and friends." Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself? "I teach junior high school students in the eighth grade at an inner city school. I teach them science but most importantly, I try to teach each of my students socially acceptable behaviors to ensure that they are productive members of society. I have been married for almost 14 years and I have a five year old son. I am currently working on my Master's in Education and I would like to teach future teachers when I am finished with my Master's degree. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends doing several activities like, singing, bowling, camping, snowmobiling, ATV riding and anything else that has to do with spending time with family and friends.
